Do You Know My Story

I was driving down the road when I noticed a car ahead of me with a sticker with L in Red on the rear window. I realised  the driver of the car was still a novice and still learning to drive.I instinctively was more patient towards the driver as he navigated slowly and unsteadily. In fact I admired the driver for venturing out in the rush hour  so courageously.

❓But seriously would I have been this tolerant  if I had not noticed this sign? I can almost definitely say a big NO.

👩‍⚖️🙄In life too, we are quick to judge people, jump to conclusions about them without even knowing what others are going through in their life.

❌No one has it easy, everyone has their own crosses and challenges in life.

🚫 But no one wears signs on themselves that says:

❗️“ My child is sick”

❗️“ I have been fired”

❗️“ I have had a break up”

❗️“ I am depressed” etc

and invariably not visible  to the outer world.

▶️We never truly know the daily struggles others face in their lives.

▶️We never know what it took someone to get out of bed, get ready to face yet another the day.

▶️We don’t know what someone is going through, behind their emotional outburst.

👩‍⚖️Yes it is easy to judge but difficult to understand. But…

✅We cannot condemn or criticise others’ actions without understanding their plight.

✅We cannot comment on the choices they make because we don’t know the options they had to choose from.

✅Before we judge or criticise  or mock or taunt others remember, everybody is fighting their own battles.

“Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are.”

✅Let’s be empathetic, nicer, kinder and more considerate. towards others regardless of their emotions, words or deeds.

✅Let’s give  them the benefit of doubt until we know how to walk in their shoes.

“ Who am I to judge another, when I myself walk imperfectly
