The Pandemic …Uncork the Bottle of Life

·       Masks up and isolation has distanced us apart.
·       Connection remains but virtual interactions have detached us not only physically but also emotionally in the real world
·       Communication is ongoing, chatter is incessant, the noise is jarring, but the silence is deafening, and loneliness is profound.
·       Life has changed, but all that endures and relentlessly persists is the uncertainty of our lives.
·      Exacerbated fatigue, anxiety, and nightmares of what we have endured and fear of what lies ahead is our bedside companion

We press the pause button as we recall the harrowing the time gone by and ask ourselves in despair and grief….
·       Can we eliminate back from our lives the lost year or more?
·       Can we go back into the time machine to the “way we were” before 2020?
·       Can we pull down our masks and banish our fears and breathe once again?
·       Can we get uninterrupted carefree time for ourselves to share with our friends, colleagues and loved ones the laughter, joy, frustrations and sorrows we hold within ourselves?
·       Can we open our hearts to receive and give love that is suppressed within ourselves and express what we feel uninhibited by the fear of unknown?
·       Can we once again regain our freedom to move unfettered to enjoy the fresh air and explore unknown places without worry and fear?
·       Can we get rid of the chaos and uncertainty of opening and closing of our lives with lockdowns and unlocking that continues to wreak our lives?
·       Can we relive again the way we were not marred with the shadow of the virus with the hope that the vaccine shall keep us safe?

No one knows as it is game of patience and each day is a new day. But now armed with tough lessons of the past……
·       Can we care for each other more than we do?
·       Can we make up the time lost to spend with our families and loved ones?
·       Can we be happy and content to be alive and kicking than constantly cribbing and complaining?
·       Can we extend a helping hand to those in distress and have lost their loved one?
·       Can we check in one more time to find out about our colleagues, friends, and family?
·       Can we appreciate the support, the good work and courage of all who have helped us at work and home?
·       Can we stop the noise of negative news that impacts us so adversely?
·       Can we thank God for being alive and push away all the nay sayers and prophets of doom and live in hope of a bright and happy tomorrow.

Can we…can we dare to uncork the bottle of life and revive our lives?
When Can We ? Time will tell…..
