The Fourth 🐒

🟤We all know the lessons from our childhood about three wise monkeys:

🙈 Mizaru: See No Evil

🙉 Kikazaru: Hear No Evil

🙊 Iwazaru: Speak No Evil

But in recent years , a fourth monkey has joined the group:

🐵 Shizaru: Do No Evil.

🟤Here’s how they all work together:

🙈 See No Evil: It’s not about being naive but not to allow biases, mistrust to overshadow our vision. But to see beyond toxicity, injustice imperfections, or wrongs to see the inherent good in others. It’s about supporting viable  solutions for a conducive and respectful environment.

🙉 Hear No Evil: Intentional tuning into the voices that inspire, uplift that bring out the best in us. We do not judge but steer away from gossip, abuses and negativity. We are not turning a deaf ear to negativity but we listen to understand, to support possibilities to resolve rather than ignite the fire.

🙊 Speak No Evil: “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. Words have power that can harm or heal. It is better resist temptation to spew negativity and malice. Instead we  chose our words wisely to inspire, support, and uplift with constructive feedback appreciation rather than complaints and criticism

But do speak the truth against injustice when the situation demands but with kindness.

🟤But can we remain passive onlookers to injustice, bullying, harassment and discrimination.By avoiding or shielding ourselves from negativity we surely are not contributing  in making this world a better place for all of us.

🐵 Do No Evil: Now enters the Fourth Monkey who stitches the story together. It’s not enough to turn away from bad behavior but to take responsibility for our actions.

🟤The fourth monkey moves towards an environment where negativity can’t thrive by seeing, hearing, and addressing issues with integrity and becomes an agent of positive change.

🟤A Do No Evil, thinking would be more empathetic. It would be where we treat each other with mutual respect and understanding we all deserve.

🟤When we live with the intent to do no harm, our actions ripple through the world in ways we may never fully see.

“The Fourth Monkey teaches us that it’s not enough to just avoid evil—we must actively pursue good in every action, word, and thought.”

Let’s channel this fourth monkey’s energy:

✔️ Smile at a stranger

✔️ Lend a helping hand

✔️ Be the kind of person that makes the world a little better.
