The pandemic is not over, the virus not gone, but we pretend and live in denial that the virus is not around.
But do we live in despair or see ray of light at the end of a dark night?
The nightmare is real and the sorrow and havoc it caused has devastated us all.
But do we cry in misery or usher a new dawn as we bid adieu to the year that has not been?
The solitude is suffocating and we are distanced from our loved ones.
But do we resign to destiny or hope for sunshine to return when we reunite ?
The news channels spread gloom and yesteryears are buried with predictions of doom.
But can we strangulate ourselves or change the wind to breath freely once again.
The delivery boy knocks our door while we remain confined in our virtual homes pretending to do our usual chores.
But do we succumb to this new normal or hope for a miracle to resume life again?
The pandemic had made life tough and we have suffered enough and this is not what we deserve.
But do we accept our misfortunes or acknowledge we erred and pray to return to live our lives as before?
The pandemic has made us strong and we have survived this storm armed with the many lessons we have learnt.
We now dare to hope to vanquish the predator and restart the pause button to live our lives we assumed was ours when we had it all.
