Rejection – Apna Time Ayega

“I got rejected recently in a company I wanted to work for. The interview went off well and HR promised to get back with an offer. It was all so positive, but a few days later of waiting a I got a rejection letter with no reason at all. It was quite disheartening but it did not stop my search and soon enough I landed with an equally decent job in the same sector”
Rejection is relatively less to do with the applicant more to do with those who review the line of candidates in the quest for spotting and selecting the right candidate. Ideal candidates, perfect candidates are a myth. When you are young you are not seasoned enough and when you are old you are overqualified. The ability to spot the best talent is often relatively subjective and blinkered by the narrowly defined job specs, mindset, and unconscious bias of the selectors. So don’t be disheartened……it is time to move ahead with positivity and hope because….
Rejection is not a reflection of who you are.
·        It is an unpleasant and painful reality and cannot define you.
·        It is the beginning of a new chapter and not the end.
·        It is now and not always.
·        It is a redirection or re-route to what you are and want to be.
·        It is happening to you and not for the possibilities ahead.
·        It is a wake up call for you to review your options.
Rejection means that it was never meant to be your destiny.
·        It means to accept the “no” gracefully and work now for a Yes
·        It means time for stock taking and introspect on next steps.
·        It means to work on alternative pathways.
·        It means it is time to explore new vistas that lie ahead.
·        It means to rediscover your true worth and move towards it.
·        It means to rechart your path towards better opportunities that
beckon you.
·        It means to utilise your expertise to accomplish what you are
capable of.
·        It means to channelise yourself to your destiny that awaits you.
·        It means to make course correction and create the right path.
·        It means to come out of your comfort zone, push your limits to
relearn and succeed.
·        It means to reenergise yourself to prove you are better than
the best.
·        It means to ignite the fire to do more and achieve more.
Let rejection be seen as a blessing to find a right opportunity to reach your destination.
·        Let’s not allow the closed doors haunt your life.
·        Let’s not let the emotional upheaval overwhelm you.
·        Let’s change the tide of rejection.
·        Let’s not to live in the Cinderella moments and waste our time.
·        Let’s not look back but change the tide of rejection.
Let’s understand that the lost opportunity is for those who failed to notice your worth and were never meant to be part of your story.
