Madhu is a seasoned HR Leader with over 4 decades of diverse experience in different sectors including Hospitality, Real Estate, Retail and Entertainment as well as the Social sectors Until recently, as Sr.Executive Director (HR), Madhu has spearheaded the HR function for DLF Group.She has been responsible for a diverse multi generation workforce of more than 50000 employees (on roll and outsourced) across the country. She has successfully anchored and driven the people agenda through various phases of Company’s growth, transformation and expansion.

Over the years Madhu has successfully partnered and built strong relationships with the Leadership team to craft and deliver sustainable HR solutions to shape the overall health of the organisation in an environment experiencing significant external and internal challenges. Madhu has worked with best in class consulting firms in leading the organisation transformation agenda.As a senior leader, she has extensively worked on design and implementation of human capital strategies aligned to the changing needs of the organisation with specific focus on organisation architecture, talent & performance management  to harness and leverage the capability and potential of the employees

In the last few years Madhu has been working actively with the student community to support  them in their successful transition from Campus to Corporates as well as students transitioning from school specifically in the underprivileged segments including arranging scholarships and life skills training..

In addition she is deeply engaged in several HR consulting assignments including support and assistance in setting up start ups and guiding leadership/HR teams and young professionals in the corporate world on various aspects in a VUCA world.

Apart from writing her memoirs in HR,she is associated with significant research projects and actively writes on topical issues in the field of HR and related issues.

She is also invited to participate as a speaker in  various forums

  • Integration of work into life in the new world we live in.

The Triumph of Being A Woman

Book

The Triumph of Being a Woman is a book by Madhu, although a work of fiction, it is inspired by the journey of many successful women in India.(UNDER PUBLICATION)

Synopsis

Women have it tough, believe it or not – but women also win big. This is a journey of one such strong woman for whom giving up is not an option. Driven by values, determination and a goal – she keeps marching down a road full of surprises, challenges, loneliness and love. This woman learns, rises, fights and wins for that is what being a woman is!

Anita the narrator and the focus of the story is the third and youngest daughter of a humble Punjabi family settled in Delhi post the partition. She is brought up in a closely knit joint family with a deep routed value system, surprisingly with a hint of liberal space and support for their daughters.

Having grown up dreaming of a fairytale life with her Prince charming – reality was a stark contrast, but for Anita winning at life was not an option, it was the only way out. This is a story spanning across three generations and the struggles their interplay travails and the Triumph, beyond that.
